GGZ NHN organizes a welcome day for new employees every month. On this special day they want to introduce their new employees to their company in an interactive way. They have asked TinQwise to help devise and develop a physical escape room in the basement of their historic chapel on the Willibrordus Estate. By building this escape room, they have reinvented onboarding, abandoning traditional ways of learning.
Escape rooms are exciting for a reason. The thrill of looking for missing clues, the sense of togetherness to complete the game - escape rooms provide a different kind of fun. An educational escape room is therefore a unique way of learning. The location and design play a major role in this. This escape room was made to fit in the historic basement of the old chapel.
After playing, the participants know everything about the history, mission and values โโof GGZ NHN. Multiple teams enter the game at the same time. There are small rooms and a larger main room. The small rooms serve as "team rooms" where players from each group gather to crack clues, open locks and continue the story. The main room stores information accessible to each group.
From the history of the building, to the story of the brothers, this escape room cleverly brings employees together to learn. The game stimulates a healthy competitive spirit between the teams, although a puzzle is often also solved together. The players strengthen their knowledge and discover the DNA of GGZ NHN. This flying start to their onboarding further fuels the motivation and enthusiasm of the newbies to make a difference in their work.
